Our client Mike said:
First of all thank you so much for the speedy delivery and pre-testing of my Tivo.
I have put off the urge to get a TiVo now for around 4 years and I can't even start to explain how totally awesome your service has been. After dealing on Ebay for many years I found your constant updates, fast responses to emails and General customer service to be second to none.
My Tivo is all set up, and networked with the cables provided and it's in what I could only call AS NEW condition. Thank you ever so much for your service. And now just to hope I don't turn into a couch potato :)
Best wishes in your current and future business ventures
Mike
Another client, Doug, recently moved here from the USA and missed his TiVo, he said:
"We were hardcore Tivo-heads in the US. Two in our house (both with satellite tuner built in, Series 1) and one with our daughter at college (standalone series 2). Single best piece of electronics I've ever seen, bought, used, whatever. You obviously know that. It is pretty weird after 4 years with Tivo to do without….
We moved to Perth about 5 weeks ago and immediately started looking for a Tivo replacement. We first bought a DGTEC twin tuner model, I suspect you know the one. Nice picture quality from FTA digital but so user-hostile that it was like a college science project. The EPG is virtually useless, the machine doesn't automatically put what you are watching in a buffer etc."
Then, after consulting with us Doug bought one of our TiVos and said...
"Tivo received, installed, operating perfectly. What a pleasure to get back to a "real" DVR.
Doug also had a few interesting words to say about his Foxtel IQ box! ...
"Ron predicted that I'd be back for a 2nd Tivo. That may be correct once my frustration level with the IQ builds to boiling point. Quick example. One of the Foxtel channels was playing a movie about Eisenhower and D-Day last night - it looked interesting but had already started. I tried to use the Foxtel IQ to find and tape the next showing (as you would do on a Tivo with about 3 keystrokes ). No way, short of manually searching every channel for the next two weeks or thumbing through the Foxtel guide to find out when it is on again. You cannot search the program guide on the IQ and it doesn't tape anything unless you tell it to.
I guess I could use the IQ as a twin-tuner set top box then piggyback a Tivo on top, right?"
Update! In December 2005 Doug did just that! He came back to us for another TiVo and now uses his IQ box just as a dumb Foxtel Box! We must be doing something right!
Michael, of NSW put it very well...
Worked out of the box...just like that
What a wonderful little machine. How have I managed to live without one of these and how come everyone doesn't have one?
Thanks you so much for your assistance
Julie, in Melbourne was pretty happy! :)
As of 6:30 last night, we have a fully working Tivo. The world is a happy happy place, full of recorded programs that we'll never watch.
Many thanks for all your help through the purchase, setup & delivery. The entire process has been nothing short of outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to any of my friends.
I think I mentioned that I run the IT HelpDesk for <name deleted> here in Melbourne, so my team & I know a bit about customer service, & I can spot good service a mile away. You guys meet & exceed the bar.
Kamal, another Melburnian, said:
The package included a lot more than I was expecting, and I really appreciate it. I'll be sure to recommend you guys to everyone when I start talking about my new tivo. I just can't believe that I didn't know about this sooner - every house should have one (if not two!)
Cleo from Abyssinia miaowed:
"My humans have done a wonderful job on the TiVo, but I do wish they could do something about the remote control! The buttons are too small for my paws and I keep accidentally deleting my Garfield re-runs. I need a mouse interface. But if you've got fingers you'll love your TiVo."
If you have something nice to say about our products or services please let us know. And even more importantly, if there's anything we could have done better please tell us about that too, we can't fix a problem we don't know about! Just send us an email.
